Selected for chanting
On a demonstration
He’s cuffed and bundled
Into a police van,
Unloaded at the station
Then it’s

“Full name Grandad!”

“Spell that!”

“Identification!”

The old man nods
Then baring his arm
Displays a line
Of tattooed numbers:
“This do?” he says.
