Trump

by Owen Gallagher, with image by Martin Gollan

He is a Caesar,
a Nero, a global warning,
a planet whose orbit collides
with everyone. He is the golden
age of narcissism who provokes attacks
so, the focus is on him, and recruits clones
to his Court and Senate. He declares climate
change was created by socialists and that immigrants
of which he is a descendant did not build America. He
is a driver who creates a massive pile up, a medication that
puts you on life support. He is the cowboy out for revenge topping
up notches on his gun, the Joker in comic books, who will turn the world
into his golf course and replace the Statue of Liberty with a gold one of himself.
