They pulled a wall
Down – a while ago
The times they were a
Changing
The provident man
Stopped coming on
Fridays
You didn’t need money
– just a card – nobody sang at
all
They planted the seeds
For 2008 and watered them
With Silver and shame
Sold off the family jewels
Closed the Mutuals
While hedge funds
Went short and earned a few shekels
Workers bought shares in Gas –
Made a few bob
But it all ended up wi’ the
Big Boys in the end…
if you see
Sid – sell him
