We’re thrilled to announce the release of the official trailer for Autism and the Arts: Poetry with Peter Street, a powerful 40 minute documentary film exploring the life and words of poet Peter Street. Please support the campaign to bring it to the big screen. You can watch the trailer here.
Peter Street is an award-winning poet whose unique voice has been shaped by his experiences of autism, working-class life, and the natural world. The film paints a picture of both struggle and creativity, offering viewers an understanding into how Peter’s neurodivergence and art interact in amazing ways.
To celebrate the launch of the trailer, writer/director, Brett Gregory, has also launched a GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising money to hire three independent cinemas across Greater Manchester. This will ensure the film can be shared with local communities, educators, and those whose lives and work resonate with Peter’s story.
You can support the campaign here.
The campaign has already raised £285 which is an encouraging start, but we need your help to go further. Every donation brings us closer to bringing Peter’s words to the big screen.
Autism and the Arts is more than a film: it’s a cultural event in support of accessibility, expression, and recognition of a fine poet. Please share widely, contribute if you can, and help us make this project into a success.
