Ideas in a void have never appealed to me; action must follow thought or political life is meaningless. – My Life, by Oswald Mosley (1968)
Come and join us in the circle
For a fun and happy time.
We will learn and play together
In our circle, yours and mine.
Elon wants a legion of children
Before the civil war.
His children dress in black;
Shout “communist” at lifeboat crews.
Something about Musk always makes me think
Of that Peter Crouch joke –
“What would you be if you weren’t famous?”
And Crouchy replies; “A virgin”;
But I’m desperate for laughs I guess,
And the times ain’t all that funny.
Techno billionaires who ramble about
Katechon and Anti-Christ and the incompatibility
Of freedom and democracy and the coming singularity
Have trapped us in a circularity
Where we chase and devour each other’s tails
Egged on by techno-stooges who
Think poverty is brought in on small boats
And that a rising tide will lift us
If it’s foaming with much blood.
And four days after the black mask show
In Dover, a black mask drill rapper
Celebrates a black-on-black cheffin,
“Head, chest, belly or neck.”
An’ it’s all about getting brain or getting ice
Like the weekend before happened
In a different world, although
UKBA raid Angell Town and Hoxton
With no opposition, and the shooters and knifers
Join in the circle game and we all wipe out each other
While the “I’ll have six oysters” cackling scum
Keep sneering up their sleeves.
We tell ourselves that fascism
Believes in action for action’s sake
But what if we ended up here
Because we lost all connection
Between thought and action
While debt collectors and high court sheriffs
Set the terms and hiked the costs
Of living in fear on our estates
And the only way out now is action
To break out of the circularity
So dogs stop eating dogs
And rend their masters’ flesh instead?
Come and join us in the circle
To settle the scores of time.
We will learn and play together
In our circle, yours and mine.
