The Covid Years

The Covid Years

by Owen Gallagher, with image above by Martin Gollan

We answered the Government’s call to keep

                                           the profit flag flying,

                                           the currency stable,

happy to Zoom from our laptops at home

                                           and mask up

                                           to queue for a latte.

We created more offshore companies

                                           to redistribute wealth

                                           among ourselves

and made billions during the pandemic,

                                          for that

                                          we thank our Head Boys.

We resisted daubing the door of the infected –

                                           a class culling

                                           was taking place.
