Our Lady of Palestine

a bilingual poem by Gabriel Rosenstock, with image above by Banksy

Mary, pray for massacred infants

Mary, pray for infants still alive

Mary, pray for those as yet unborn

Pray, dear Mary, for Palestine.

Mary, you saw your own Son tortured

Mary, you saw him die in pain:

Pray, dear Mary for all Palestinians

Mary, it’s Calvary all over again

Muire na Palaistíne

A Mhuire, guigh ar son naíonáin mharbha na Palaistíne

A Mhuire, guigh ar son na naíonán atá fós beo:

A Mhuire Mháthair,  guigh ar son do thírese

Is ar son na naíonán nár rugadh fós

A Mhuire, chonaicís do Mhacsa á chéasadh

A Mhuire, chonaicís é spíonta ar an gcros

Guigh, a Mhuire dhil ar son na bPalaistíneach

Suaimhneas orthu go léir anocht!
