Take your flags
and build tents
ones that protect us
from the rain,
a nation
under one flag,
the breeze gets in
so we build walls with flags,
we attach and sew in zips
so we can open and close the doors of the tents,
we break up sticks for higher sections of the tent
and tie them into the flag
we raise them
it sometimes blows in the wind
if not tied down right,
the flag can be whatever colour you like,
the colour is unimportant
its only made up anyway
just an idea
so to speak,
what you do with the flag
is what’s important.
