like an incel Mick Hucknall. And building his Lego House
To live a fantasy life in.
But there’s more than one kind of MOR.
Trying to stand in the middle in the face of
a genocide, while putting your career
over and above your friend who’s got the guts you lack,
sounds like someone who’s bought into his own shite lyrics
and really believes “You need me, man, I don’t need you at all”.
So, to spell it out, for anyone who still thinks they can make their art
“ a place of safety and sanctuary, to maintain diplomacy and keep the conversations open, not closed”…
What you call diplomacy stinks of complicity.
Israel doesn’t hide its genocidal intent.
Its actions match its rhetoric.
Challenge it and it screams “antisemitism”.
And blood-laved, cries “blood libel.”
The new friends of the state of Israel are the Jew-haters of old
who’d “detain and deport Muslim men of fighting age.”
Tommy Turkey-teeth, with his permanent sniff and shrinking septum,
hails Israel’s “strong, patriotic leadership”;
this ally against ” terror states and jihad states.”
The golfing-casual fascists know what’s at stake.
if Israel gets a free pass on genocide,
ethnic cleansing can be a free-for-all.
If those who were once the victims
of history’s worst crime
are “forced “to inflict genocide on the Palestinians
is it all that unreasonable for Yaxley-Lennon, Weidel ,Le Pen
(the ones who want the waves to break every boat)
to copy them in removing “unwanted” Muslim men?
We’ve been here before.
That the perpetrators now were the victims then
Shouldn’t prevent us calling things as they are.
Homilies about “The suffering and pain …both sides … human tragedy”
don’t cut it when the state logic is ““for every person on October 7,
50 Palestinians should die. There’s no choice
they need a Nakba every now and then”(1)
So go back to your cabbage patch, Sheeran.
