He is not the bombs that drop
on sleeping children
prisoners being starved of hope
women hoping for rain and water
the olive tree witnessing 76 years of destruction
if we could stop the fire,
what would be his use?
so many of you
muslim, jew
a battle to the death
benefits no-one
yet we sing of rivers and seas
but not in harmony
and we will not cease until
Palestine is free
